Fast forward to today, and Derek’s passion for homes has exploded into a full-blown career as a home inspector, real estate investor, and renovation whiz. Homes aren’t just his hobby—they’re his life’s work!
Before starting Alberto Home Inspections, Derek was orchestrating operations at a Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility in Westchester County, NY. From managing the nitty-gritty of wastewater, to diving into the ins and outs of homes and their associated systems, Derek’s journey is anything but ordinary.
Armed with a Master’s Degree in Health Education from Lehman College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from Manhattan College, Derek blends brainpower with his love for homes to educate buyers on everything from safety to system operations.
When he’s not inspecting homes or tackling new DIY projects, Derek enjoys life in Brewster, NY, with his wife and their two lively young boys.
